COMPANY PROFILE

 

The Company Kecofa (Kerkraadse-Cosmetica-Fabriek) from The Netherlands was founded in 1986 as a family business with the goal of manufacturing affordable quality fragrances.

 

Until today the company is managed by the Nievelstein brothers both commercial and technical.

Kecofa has facilities in the Netherlands, Spain, Latvia and China and more than 400 co-workers are being occupied. The use of the finest European fragrance oils was and will be the basis for the companies’ success.

 

Black Onyx was introduced as perfume brand in 1990 and represented a complete perfume line for men and women with more than 60 different scents. To comply with the market demands there were created several fragrance brands to meet the demands from retailers, discounters and specialized stores. For example: Wagner, Immortal Love and Moara Shira. In cooperation with customers several successful series of private label brands have been developed aswel.

 

For the completion of the companies’ product range in the cosmetic manufacturer (Roger) Garé Cosmetics was acquired for obvious reasons in 2004. Currently Kecofa is exporting complete perfume and cosmetics lines into more than 70 countries complying with local demands.We are proud to have amongst others REWE, Pennimarkt, Tedi, Zeeman, Aldi, NKD, Klingel, Action and Miss Etam as our customers.

 

From the beginning it was the companies’ philosophy to have the own manufacturing of as much as possible components. Besides the obvious cost reduction also flexibility was achieved as well as independence from third parties in order to meet the necessary conditions to serve our customers.

 

It was only a matter of time when the rapid increasing production had to be transferred abroad to solve capacity problems. After starting a production line in Hangzhou China on April 1^st, 2003, in spring 2007 a new production line will be ready for production in Ming Huang, China. On this site of 72.000 square meters, most of the production components will be manufactured and Kecofa will profile itself as supplier of glass and synthetic parts for the entire cosmetic industry.

 

Metallization of synthetic parts and UV-coloring of glass and synthetic parts will be part of the production capabilities in order to create newest designs to meet the markets demands. Cost reduction and logistic advantages can be easily recognized. The balance between quality and price has never been so perfect. In the foreign production plants are quality standards according to European levels and these standards are being monitored by Dutch managers with considerable history with the company.

 

The former production plant of 13.000 square meters in Kerkrade, The Netherlands is currently in use as logistic centre. Large quantities of various products are being stored there for worldwide distribution.

 

Today Kecofa offers perfumes and cosmetics in complete series for any line of business, as well as the possibility to develop and manufacture private labels on customer request.
